If you are new to Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy

Misconceptions about Hypnosis

Do not expect to go to sleep or lose touch with reality, you will be aware of everything that is going on around you and you cannot be made to do anything which goes against your deepest beliefs and morals. What you have seen on Hypnostage shows is true, but keep in mind that the hypnotist asked for volunteers, and these people expect to do funny things to entertain the audience, they are extroverts and are willing to follow fun suggestions.

What is Hypnosis then?

A simple definition of hypnosis is that it is a state of increased concentration, relaxation and suggestibility. A perfectly natural state, which we all go through at least twice a day, just before we fall asleep and just as we are waking up.

What is a Certified Hypnotherapist?

A Certified Hypnotherapist (C.Ht) assists their client to utilise the ancient, natural state of hypnosis to heal from trauma, phobias, anxieties and habits such as smoking or eating disorders. Owing to its efficiency and long-term benefits, this non-medical form of therapy has become increasingly popular. Healing is based on the powerful "trance – forming" ability of the client´s own subconscious mind.

Self Hypnosis vs. Therapeutic Hypnosis

Self Hypnosis allows you to reach a deep state of relaxation to connect with our creative inspirations, spiritual guidance, intuition and natural healing powers. Here we are at the gateway to learning and memory, where we experience increased creativity, reduced stress and an awakening of intuition as well as other extrasensory perception skills.
